Link Bid Directory Spam

The SPAM I am talking about here is emails I keep getting that are sent to my “catch all” emails (anything@domain,com). The emails I have been getting are obviously from an unlicensed link bid site, and the Spammer is trying to get me to advertise on a new and different site every week.

I am the most open person there is when it comes to email marketing. Back in the early 90’s and mid 90’s and later I ran a bulk emailing service myself (I no longer do and I never did porn and xxx emails). BUT what makes me a little mad is that this directory owner is extracting URLs (links) from other link bid site owners websites and mine. They then take the http://wwww. part off of the links and replace it with webmaster or admin and blast out an email in the hopes it will hit an inbox. 50% of the domains most likely have a “catch-all” system that allows the mail to pass thru. So this spamming directory owner is stealing yours and my hard earned customers by spamming the paying advertisers without our/their permission.

Sound fair?

Not to me! I can do the same thing and email everyones advertisers also, but then I think it will look bad on me as I think it looks bad on this directory owner. This person runs multiple directories and only advertises to get link bids, they do not even advertise to get traffic. People who fall for this, are just buying a worthless or low-worth backlink from an unethical spammer.

I will be looking in to this further and posting the directory owners name on this blog, along with a list of the domains they promote VIA spam. Remember this directory owner is doing something unfair by exracting other directory owners paying links and spamming them by generating emails from them.
